WELLNESS TIPS

BREATHE………

Conscious breathing is necessary throughout the day for optimal wellness.  Practice circular breathing, inhaling slowly through your nose to a count of 4, then exhaling through your mouth to a count of 8.  Complete 5 full deep breaths, then return to normal breathing.  Even better, inhale some THE HERBAL BRAIN memory-enhancing botanicals while you breathe!

HYDRATE………

Our bodies are about 65%-75% water and require good daily intake of clean pure h2o to thrive and be well.  What’s the right amount of water?  Take your body weight in pounds, divide by 2, and that’s how many ounces of water you should aim to drink daily.  Good news:  Herbal teas are hydrating (unlike diuretics such as commercial coffee and tea) so drinking a cup of THE HERBAL BRAIN memory-enhancing tea counts toward your daily water consumption.

MOVE…..

Our bodies were designed to move – to walk, dance, sway, bend, and twist.  I always say if you want to know ways to become more physical in your life, all you have to do is take a walk with a Physical Therapist!  They have the BEST ideas on ways to add healthy strengthening and toning movements into your day.  Don’t know a PT?  Start out by walking a short distance and gradually increase your time and intensity.  Consult your physician if regular exercise has not been a part of your past plan.
